What is the GYROTONIC® method?

GYROTONIC® training is a revolutionary exercise system that uses state of the art equipment which offers both resistance and support, enabling one to expand range of motion while correcting dysfunctional muscular and skeletal patterns. Through slow, continuous movements synchronized with breath, GYROTONIC® movements work the spine in its full range of motion—arching, curling, and twisting. The unique exercises use principles from ancient yoga traditions, but integrate elements of tai chi, breathwork, Pilates, and dance. It is modern day yoga for the modern day individual.

What is the GYROKINESIS® method?

The GYROKINESIS® method is practiced on a mat and chair without equipment, and coordinates movement, breath, and mental focus. Without the feedback and guidance of equipment, participants in a GYROKINESIS® class are more dependent on their own proprioception to explore movement sequences. It is the foundation of the GYROTONIC® method and can be practiced at home, online, or at the studio.
